Club Rules

Term & Conditions

  • Play is from the Yellow/Red tees, for large groups, this is in three’s or four’s only.
  • Two ball play is only allowed permission granted by the Managing Secretary.
  • Play off the white tees is by special permission only.
  • Please be prompt onto the tee and play without delay and show consideration to those around you at all times. Keep up with the group in front, not in front of the group behind. Kindly invite the players behind you to play through if you are holding them up for whatever reason. A little courtesy goes a long way and makes the day more pleasant for all.

On Arrival

All visitors must report to the pro shop before commencing play. All visitors must register with the pro, this includes completing a visitor registration card/form. Failure to do so will result in access to the course being denied. If your group consist of 5 or more players the organiser may complete 1 registration form which covers the full group.

Payment of Green Fees & Organiser Responsibility

All green fees are to be paid in the Pro Shop; full payment is required before play commences on the course. We would be grateful if, you as the organiser can collect all the cash so that you are not delayed in the shop. Any changes to numbers booked must be notified to the Club a minimum of 48 hours prior to your visit. Should you fail to do so, the Club reserves the right to make a charge for any significant shortfall in numbers. Please ensure all members of the party are fully aware of the T&C’s listed here and that respect is shown to our staff and facilities at all times.

Buggies

Please book buggies, if required with the Pro Shop on 01653 697912 Option 1
Visitors are permitted to bring their own buggies, by prior arrangement, but must be accompanied by a current certificate of insurance to be shown in the Pro Shop before the buggy is driven onto the course.
So to preserve the fairways we would be grateful if you would drive and park your buggies in the rough or semi rough and walk to play shots on the fairway.

Catering

Catering bills must be settled on presentation of account.
Card, cash and cheques all accepted.
Final numbers and requirements are required 48 hours prior to your visit.

Course Closure

Course closure is sometimes unavoidable; in this event every effort will be made to notify the Organiser in order, if at all possible, to avoid visitors being involved with a wasted journey. The Course Conditions line is 01653 695955, this is updated, as necessary each morning at 7.30am.

General

Smoking is not allowed anywhere within the Clubhouse, Pro Shop or the Driving Range. The Visitors car park is clearly sign posted as you approach the Members car park, the Club does not accept responsibility for security of vehicles or equipment. Visiting players are invited to read the Local Rules, clearly printed on the Score Card, before play commences. Any special local rules will be listed in the Professional’s Shop.

Dress Code

Applies to all Members, Guests and Visitors of all ages
Course – All recognised golf wear may be worn – No jeans or tracksuits
Clubhouse – Relaxed smart casual – no ripped jeans.

Visitor Responsibility

Visitors are Temporary Members for the day. Visitors failing to observe any of the conditions on this sheet may be asked by the Managing Secretary, Professional or a Committee Member to reconsider their position; failure to do so may result in a request to leave the Course and in this event no refund of green fees will be allowed.

Club Responsibility

The Club takes all feasible measures to maintain and present the Course in the best possible condition coincidental with prevailing weather and other conditions. Work on the greens is, whenever viable, completed before Visitors play. Work on the Course, other than Greens, may continue though out the day. The Club does not accept any responsibility for articles damaged, lost or stolen. All players are responsible for damage or injury they may cause to any third party and are advised to carry their own insurance cover.
